The mid-face lift

 

A mid-face lift is the procedure most commonly referred to as a facelift. This procedure tightens and revitalizes the skin in the mid-face area, including the area from the bottom of the eyes to the bottom of the jaw. This procedure treats signs of aging including:

• Sagging beneath the eyes
• Sagging or drooping jowls
• Wrinkles around the mouth

 

During this procedure, your surgeon will make small incisions along the natural contours of your face, usually directly in front of your ears, and often at the bottom of the chin. Using specialized tools, he or she will then tighten and smooth the skin and the underlying facial muscles, and remove any problem fatty deposits in the face. Then, removing any excess, the skin will be pulled tight and fitted to your natural facial features, and the incisions will be sutured.
